- One of the best ways to see Vancouver is on one of its vintage double-decker buses affectionately called the ‘Big Bus’. Some of the areas visited include Gastown, the oldest neighbourhood in Vancouver, Robson Street which is the city’s most famous shopping street and West End, one of the best places just to hang out and take a coffee.
- Vancouver has plenty of parks throughout the city and one of the most famous is Stanley Park which offers something for everyone – nature trails, arts events, beaches, picnic sites, Vancouver aquarium, totem poles and over 1,000 acres to discover.
- Kitsilano is one of Vancouver’s most popular neighbourhoods and a popular one with young people. Some attractions to visit include Vancouver Maritime Museum where they regularly rotate their exhibitions due to the vast amount of things they have, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre and Planetarium which will be a real hit for any space enthusiasts.
- Vancouver is very much associated with Skiing and Snowboarding and the most popular destinations include the local mountains Cypress, Grouse Mountain and Seymour across the harbour. The city is also the gateway to the Whistler, one of the highest rated and largest ski destinations in North America.

EATING OUT & NIGHTLIFE IN VANCOUVER
In this cosmopolitan city, there is something for everyone from ‘all you can eat’ lunches for $10 to expensive restaurants in the city. Most restaurants can be found in Kitsilano, the West End and also along Robson Street.
Vancouver is also famous for its dim sum restaurants, some being among the best in the world. The city of Richmond, with its high concentration of Chinese inhabitants will have a good selection to choose from. You may also like to try Bubble tea (Boba tea) which is a popular drink amongst the city’s youth.
GETTING AROUND IN VANCOUVER
Vancouver has an excellent bus service providing access to most streets in the city, and the SkyTrain which is the most rapid transport system connecting Downtown with its other suburbs. The SeaBus is a passenger ferry connecting Downtown to North Vancouver and runs approximately every 15 minutes.
