  • Mt. Coot-tha is Brisbane’s tallest mountain just west of the main CBD district. There is a wonderful scenic route that passes through the heavily forested Mt. Coot-tha Reserve to the top of the mountain which offers wonderful views across the whole city in all direction. While here you could also visit the Brisbane Botanic Garden, Queensland’s premier subtropical botanic garden that offers visitors a living museum of exotic and native plant collections. Also here is the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium with great interactive exhibits teaching everything about the cosmos.

Here also lies King George Square which is the ceremonial and civic heart of the city with regular great activities scheduled throughout the year. Queensland’s Cultural Centre is the place to go for Queensland’s Museum, Art Gallery, Conservatorium, State library and the Gallery of modern Art (GoMA) which regularly features famous artists such as Picasso.
