Have you always wanted a working holiday in Australia but never knew how to get to that easy? Since September 2015 it will be a little easier for you since Slovenia and Australia signed a reciprocal agreement allowing young people to work and holiday in each other’s countries.

Minister for Slovenians abroad and border protection senator Michaelia Cash signed an agreement between Slovenia and Australia about work and holiday on 16th of June. The start date has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be after September 2015. There will be a limited amount of visas available for the young from both countries for one year stay and work in any job in Australia or Slovenia. Holders of visas will be able to work in Australia up to six months, they could study for up to 4 months. They will also be able to leave and come into the country as many times they want. To be eligible you must be aged from 18 to 30, the visa fee is 440 AUD and applicants must show they have adequate funds for the trip. The main purpose of the visa is education and cultural exchange of the young.
