Youth mobility – strengthening relationship between Slovenia and Corinthian in Austria
Youth mobility is establishing closer relationship and various forms of dialogue between youth organizations and intercultural cooperation, which are extremely important in order to strengthen the sense of the future European and developing the conscience for responsible and active citizenship.
On September 24th in the room of the
General consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Celovec the president of Popotniško združenje Slovenije
Igor Jurišič and Corinthian section of Österreichischer Jugendherbergsverband
Michael Raunig signed a letter of intent with which they state to start the cross-border project in the field of youth mobility and to common promotion of regional boarding capacities on both sides of the border.
Both organization don’t see an obstacle when it comes to national borders, they’re only a reason for better cooperation in the Alpine-Adrian space. Organizations will coordinate following steps as a follow up to the signed letter to start concrete action.
The exchange of letters in the presence of the regional head council dr. Petra Kaiser, who is also the president of the Österreichischer Jugendherbergsverband, was also part of the exhibition in the series of “window of culture toward the neighbour” and tourist promotion of Dolenjska – different experience. In her speech the general counsel Dragica Urtelj stressed the joy of the presence of the regional head council dr. Kaiser, for he is the only non-Slovenian who got the award of the Popotniško združenje Slovenije for his contributions.
