Hostel Nuremberg in Bavaria

Content

Nuremberg in the north of Bavaria is known as the city of the painter Albrecht Dürer, a city of Technology and Human Rights. Protruding from all the sights is the Emperor castle (Kaiserburg). The famous landmark of Nuremberg dates from the Middle Ages and enthroned above the city. Behind thick walls the Youth Hostel is located in a 500-year old granary (“Emperor-Stable” / “Kaiserstallung”). This house was streamlined during the last year and connects historical ambience and advanced design.

355 guests can stay here. All of the 93 recent rooms provide a shower and WC. Almost all levels and rooms are handicap-accessible. A bar and a bistro invite to stay.

The Youth Hostel Nuremberg is located really close to all the sights: visit the castle, the Germanic National Museum, the Albrecht-Dürer House, the New Museum of Art and Design and the Documentation Centre of the Nazi party rally grounds.

Through the special role of Nuremberg during the Nazi reign of violence, the city feels obliged to make a contribution to Peace and the Human Rights.

In winter the Nuremberg Christmas Market is a popular destination. This Christmas Market with gingerbread, hot punch and the typical bratwurst is very special.
